Earth Day

What effect does Earth Day have on the citizens of this world? To make us stop and think about the environment and how important it is for us to protect the planet and the natural resources.

In my opinion, one day just is not enough. We must begin living our lives in partnership with the needs of the planet. We are appointed guardians of this fragile environment. How we treat it will impact the lives of our children and grandchildren.

Many of us have gone to war to protect our freedoms, now we must once more, band together to keep our land and resources free of waste and toxins. Yes, your old cell phone may contain many toxic materials such as arsenic, mercury, lead, copper, zinc and chemical flame retardants

I believe in the NABVETS Going Green collection campaign. Our efforts will benefit our organization in a number of ways, help fund many of our programs, help our local communities limit the e-waste finding its way into the landfill and help our Chapters inform and recruit new membership.

People want to be part of an organization that is interesting and constantly involved with the community.

Make every day an Earth Day and take advantage of this collection campaign to attract new members into our fine organization.
